Abstract
The coconut palm, Cocos nucifera, is an important commercial crop plant in Brazil that is grown mainly along the north-east coast. It is known as an important nectar source for honey bees (Crane et al, 1984). The aim of this study was to document potential pollinator species of this crop by providing baseline data on what bees visit coconut inflorescences in north-east Brazil.
